Let the Magic of 'Creatures and Languages' Take You on a Musical Journey
Join us on Saturday, April 1, at Trinity Church in Torrington for our Spring Concert. Our choristers love performing in this space, which offers warm and opulent acoustics. The concert will feature guest instrumentalists and give you a wonderful glimpse into the music-making skills of our younger singers.
Mark your calendars for an afternoon of musical magic at "Creatures and Languages," Chorus Angelicus' Spring Concert on Saturday, April 1, at Trinity Church in Torrington. Our young choristers will be singing a variety of songs about animals and in foreign languages, making it a perfect opportunity to expose your little ones to different cultures and broaden their horizons.
Get ready to be enchanted by the sweet voices of children as they showcase a unique blend of folk arrangements and original poetry settings by renowned poets like Hildegard von Bingen, Francis Anne Kemble, Christina Rossetti, James Rosamond Johnson, Ogden Nash, and others. The concert will also feature classics like Mendelssohn's Lift Thine Eyes from Elijah and George Dyson's Evening Service in C, making it a perfect fusion of old and new, traditional and contemporary.
But that's not all! Chorus Angelicus will also be embarking on a tour of Ireland this June, and many of the songs from the concert will travel with them. Don't miss out on this unforgettable evening of choral harmony, featuring stellar guest performers like Andrew Thomson on percussion, Annie Trépanier on violin, and Steve Larson on viola.
